Microsoft SharePoint
Overview
The SharePoint integration gives Bumblebee a shared, organization-owned place to read and deliver files. You connect one SharePoint site; Bumblebee can work with the document libraries on that site without receiving access to every SharePoint site in your Microsoft 365 tenant.
This integration is separate from the Microsoft Graph and Microsoft 365 MSP Partner integrations. It connects to your organization's own file workspace and does not extend partner access into customer tenants.
Before you connect
You need:
- The URL of the SharePoint site you want Bumblebee to use, such as
https://contoso.sharepoint.com/sites/operations - A Microsoft 365 administrator account that can grant tenant-wide admin consent
- Permission to manage the selected SharePoint site, either as a SharePoint administrator or site owner
You do not need to register an Entra application or create a client secret. Bumblebee operates the connector application and rotates its credentials.
Connect a site
- Open Integrations → Microsoft SharePoint in Bumblebee.
- Open the intended site in SharePoint and copy the site URL. Use the site URL, not a document library, folder, or file link.
- Paste the URL into SharePoint site URL and select Connect with Microsoft.
- In the Microsoft popup, sign in with the administrator account and approve the requested permissions.
- Bumblebee resolves the site, grants the connector access to that site, and verifies the app-only connection before reporting success.
If the popup is blocked, allow popups for the Bumblebee domain and try again.
Permission model
Bumblebee uses two distinct permissions during setup and operation:

The delegated setup token is short-lived and is not stored. After setup, background agents and workflows authenticate with Bumblebee's connector application and can reach only the approved site.
What Bumblebee can do
Within the connected site's document libraries, Bumblebee agents can:
- List the available document libraries and select the appropriate library
- List files and folders
- Retrieve file metadata and secure, short-lived download links
- Read small text, CSV, JSON, and code files directly
- Upload or replace text files
- Create folders
Office files such as Excel workbooks and PowerPoint presentations are handled through short-lived download links rather than copied into model context.
When the site has only one document library, Bumblebee uses it by default. When there are multiple libraries, the agent can list them and choose the library that matches your request.
Change or disconnect the site
Version 1 supports one connected site per Bumblebee organization. To use a different site, disconnect the current connection and connect again with the new site URL.
Disconnecting makes Bumblebee forget the site binding immediately. It does not remove the Enterprise Application consent or the site permission in Microsoft 365. A tenant administrator can revoke those separately in Entra and SharePoint when required by your offboarding policy.
Troubleshooting
Microsoft reports that admin approval is required
Use an account authorized to grant tenant-wide consent, or ask a Microsoft 365 administrator to complete the connection.
Bumblebee cannot grant access to the site
The signed-in administrator must be able to manage the selected SharePoint site. Confirm the URL is the site root and retry with a SharePoint administrator or site owner.
The popup closes before setup finishes
Return to the integration page and retry. Keep the Microsoft window open until Bumblebee reports that the site is connected.
